Jewellery Care

Here are care instructions for different types of jewellery: brass, American diamond, and anti-tarnish jewellery. To protect your jewellery from getting damaged:

Jewellery care instructions

Brass jewellery:

  1. Keep dry: avoid exposure to moisture, including water, sweat, and perfumes, as they can cause tarnishing.
  2. Storage: store in a cool, dry place, preferably in a jewellery box or pouch to minimize contact with air.
  3. Cleaning: use a soft, dry cloth to gently polish the brass. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  4. Avoid harsh chemicals: keep away from cleaning products and chemicals that may damage the finish.

American diamond jewellery:

  1. Avoid impact: handle with care to prevent scratches and damage; avoid wearing during physical activities.
  2. Cleaning: clean with a soft, damp cloth or a mild soap solution. Use a soft brush for intricate designs.
  3. Storage: store separately in a soft cloth or padded box to avoid scratches from other jewellery pieces.
  4. Avoid chemicals: keep away from harsh chemicals, including chlorine, which can damage the setting and stones.

Anti-tarnish jewellery:

  1. Keep in packaging: store in pouch or box when not in use to prevent tarnishing.
  2. Regular cleaning: wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove skin oils and moisture. You can also wash with plain water, pat dry and keep in the pouch.
  3. Limit exposure: avoid wearing during activities that may expose the jewellery to harsh environments, such as swimming or exercising.
  4. Avoid chemicals: keep away from harsh chemicals, including chlorine, which can damage the setting and stones.
